Farm essentials are only a small fragment of what these kids will be learning through cooperative work and creative play. This day camp will be filled full of horticulture, animal care, creative arts, environmental sustainability, work projects, music, livestock management, and horsemanship. (The half-day-ers will still have a blast, but we will not get to all of the activities.) If needed we will also have indoor activities.

**PLEASE READ FULLY. IF YOU ARE SIGNING UP THERE IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION **

Full-day (ages 4 and up… yes, Dad… if you want to sign up you can too. You are never too old for Farm Fun! Just know – you have to do a background check first!)

*Drop off at 9:30 AM and pick up at 4 PM: cost $45 per day or $200 for the series.

Half-day (ages 3 and up… You are never too old for Farm Fun! Just know **Drop off at 9:30 AM and pick up at 12 PM: cost $29.00 per day or $130 for the series.**

Lil Sprouts (ages 1 to 4) Drop off at 9:30 AM and pick up at 11:00: cost $20 or $90 for the series. We have a sibling discount of 10 dollars for children taking part in the entire week. That was a “sibling* discount. That is not a group rate or buddy discount.

This is for children who share a household together and/or/ are supported by the same adult (s). (We count step-siblings, foster, and half in this situation. :))Friday evening, folks… is Family and Friends Farm for Fun Night! The staff members are gonna grill for you and relax while your children get to “boss up” on the farm and show you how it is done!

After 5 full days of camp… they are gonna have mad animal tending skillzz! Even the half-day campers and the one-day campers are invited to this! Be ready to see what your kids have been doing, play some family field games, cuddle goats, and/or eat some food…. oh, and of course pick up the “whatever it is they left out at the farm. My guess is it will be a water bottle, hat, or lunch box!

**YOU MUST HAVE THE PERSON LISTED WHO WILL BE PICKING UP YOUR CHILD! IF SOMEONE COMES FOR YOUR KID AND IS NOT ON THE LIST OR THE PERSON DOES NOT HAVE AN ID YOUR KID WILL NOT BE GOING WITH THEM UNLESS YOU CONFIRM IT. Come on… put grandma’s name down so she doesn’t get irritated and Gram-Slap me!**

We are flexible if a sprout wants to stay all day with a sibling. If you think they can handle it we will give it a shot, or if a half-dayer says, “I wanna stay the full day!” We are pretty good at handling the unexpected.*We understand that parents have to work and transportation may be an issue, so we are also flexible on drop-off and pick-up time.* Note: any drop-off or pick-up that extends over 15 minutes will have a charge of 10 dollars. We will not accept children before 9:00 or after 4:30. You must let us know 24 hours ahead of time.

**Seriously, we know schedules are difficult and it may be hard to get the kiddos a ride on workdays. Just call us. We can work something out.

**Transportation is available to and from camp for an extra charge. Daycares and Child Development Programs – We have discounted rates for you! Holla at me, yo.

You can find registration forms and the waiver on our website:

www.thecharmfarm.org

Please have them completed for each child. If there are any medical, cultural, or personal needs/concerns please note them when you email or turn in the form.

You may be able to complete it the morning of, but it gets really busy… really, really busy… REALLY BUSY

ARE YA STILL WITH ME? THIS NEXT STUFF IS IMPORTANT TOO!

**This is not an event for children with allergies to animals.

**If your child doesn’t like to get dirty or is a little unsure of the animals, no need to worry. We have a great staff and will accommodate every child’s comfort level.
All activities will be encouraged but none will be pushed on your child.

**Full-day kids pack a lunch! Make it a hefty one. Zippy the piggy likes Oreos and Spike the Llama enjoys Pringles – hint-hint. We have several reasons why we ask them to bring lunch, none have to do with the cost. If you forget their lunch on the counter no need to go back and grab it. Please just give us a call so we can get them some food put together before it gets busy. If you are short on food or anything else prevents you from having a packed lunch we will gladly make them one without any questions. If you forget to tell us your kids do not have lunch, don’t worry. Hungry kids usually speak up.

**Giddy-up! We will be riding horses! So dress like it! Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended.

**There is a good chance the kids will be getting wet. Usually when they misbehave we hose them down. It is less frowned upon like the duct tape was! I’m kidding – I am kidding! We do have “fun” water activities.

**Water bottles are handy, but we will not let them go thirsty if they don’t have one. (Actually, they will be annoyed with how much water we make them drink!):)

**We will use our sunscreen on them if you do not bring them sunscreen. Unless you request us not to.

**Don’t panic if we call you and tell you your munchkin got hurt. It is our policy to let the parents know when any incident occurs. That includes minor and emotional injury too. If the kiddos miss ya… we will let them give you a call and hopefully get back to our fun!

**This is an authentic farm, folks…They will get as dirty as they want to… well actually… sometimes a little more. Dress accordingly! We paint too btw!

**They may step in the manure of some kids. What can I say… it is a farm: **stuff happens

** Keep the new Nikes at home if ya want.

**Even on a nice day the prairie breeze gets chilly for little arms. If it is 65 or below I suggest a light jacket.

**Snacks will be provided for all campers. We will have an assortment of fruits, veggies, and crackers, or granola bars.

**Please don’t send the kiddos with soda or energy drinks. Man… I have seen 9 year-olds fight it out over a Mountain Dew, YO – an ugly sight! Not really, but we really encourage water and if they do not have anything else to drink – they will drink it. Yes, even if they “don’t like water!” We will sometimes provide lemonade or juice boxes for a treat. But water is where it is at!

**Smiles are welcome at this event! Children are welcome to wear a mask, but if you have any additional concerns please let me know. We can accommodate. We do wash our hands frequently and at this age, cooties are a larger concern among the children, so it is no hard for them to restrain from being in each other’s face. Ew… cooties don’t ya know? {We put effort into making sure everyone stays say and healthy. However, there is a lot of activity and I do not require the camp counselors to wear a mask. If you would like your child counselor to do so please bring it up to me beforehand so I can put them with the right counselor}

**If your child sneaks a chicken, rabbit, goat, or pony in the car when you pick them up – no need to rush it back. You can hang on to it until the next day.

**Please make sure you go over the rules and expectations on the registration form with your children. We also do this, but it is very important that they understand – even if a rule seems silly or they don’t have to do it at home – there is a reason for it. We want all campers, staff, and animals to stay safe mentally, physically, and emotionally.

**Kids may get wet!
